Thursday, September 20, 2007 @ Thursday, September 20, 2007

This is 1 of the lessons conducted in RC ^^

Today we talk about LOVE…

The LOVE we define in our modern contexts:

-The L.O.V.E. Song
-Developing feelings for the opposite sex
-The LOVE defined in the scripture contexts
- Love Vs Like
-To have feelings of concern for others
-To have a relationship with all life

Quotes from Blessed Mother Teresa..

"If you judge people, you have no time to love them. "

"I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love. "

"Love until it hurts. Real love is always painful and hurts;
then it is real and pure. "

"It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing. It is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving. "

"Love begins by taking care of the closest ones - the ones at home."

"If we really want to love we must learn how to forgive."

"There is a terrible hunger for love. We all experience that in our lives - the pain, the loneliness. We must have the courage to recognize it. The poor you may have right in your own family. Find them. Love them. Put your love for them in living action. For in loving them, you are loving God Himself."

"The important thing is not how much we accomplish, but how much love we put into our deeds every day. That is the measure of our love for God."

"Love does not measure; it just gives."

"There is no greater sickness in the world today than the lack of love."

"At the moment of death, we will not be judged according to the number of good deeds we have done or by the diplomas we have received. We will be judged according to the love we have put into our work. "

"We can do no great things; only small things with great love."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let us use this time to think about how we treat everyone around us..
--Our siblings
--our families
--our relatives
--our teachers
--our enemies
--our friends

Are the quotes from Mother Teresa the same as how we are treating the people around us?

Are we able to start loving the people around us?

Saying a word of thanks
Respecting one another
Buying food for your mum
Affirmation
Sharing what you have with your siblings
Hug one another and reconcile

God did not say we need to like everyone, but we need to LOVE each other. Love as in showing concern for another person wholeheartedly…

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish but might have eternal life (John 3:16)

Love the Lord your God with all your Heart, with all your Soul, with all your Mind, and with all your Strength.
Love your neighbour as you Love yourself. There is no other commandment more important than these two. (Mark 12:30-31)

There is no Greater Commandment other than LOVE
